My Bruce Lee Inspires

If I had to write a script about Bruce Lee and Muhammad Ali, the movie would take place in the ghetto. Muhammad Ali would be out in the street boxing and jiving around with a group of guys. Muhammad Ali and his friends would not know anything about Kung Fu.
Bruce Lee would be visiting the ghetto and unafraid. He would be a Chinese guy use to the streets and getting into gang fights. Bruce Lee would be very noticeable because he would be a new face and a stranger. He would see one of Muhammad Ali friends and dispute with him about a jacket stolen from him.

Muhammad Ali: Anthony, give the man his jacket back. You ought to be ashamed of yourself. I told you about ripping people off.

Anthony: I ain’t givin’ him nothing’ back.

Bruce Lee: Well, I guess that I will have to take it back.

Anthony and Bruce Lee gets into a fight. At first, Bruce Lee is knocked around some because he doesn’t know boxing. Then Bruce Lee hits Anthony with a straight punch. When Bruce Lee kicked him, it seemed as if he kicked him a hundred miles away. Anthony was getting beat up bad until Muhammad Ali jumps in the middle to stop Bruce.

Muhammad Ali: Hey man! Stop! You trying to kill somebody!  And I ain’t never seen that kind of fighting you do before.

Bruce Lee: It’s call Jeet Kune Do.

Muhammad Ali: Well you a bad man. But, you in trouble.

Muhammad Ali begins to dance around. Bruce Lee tried to hit Muhammad Ali and miss. Bruce Lee observed Ali’s movement. Muhammad Ali danced a long time. Bruce stopped and smiled at him with a sly look in his eyes. Finally, Bruce hits Muhammad Ali in the face. Then Muhammad Ali strikes Bruce Lee. Ali was so fast with his punches that Bruce Lee got tired and kicked Muhammad Ali across the street pavement.

Suddenly, there was a drive by shooting. Muhammad Ali, his friends, and Bruce Lee began to run and hide. They stayed hid for a little while until they thought the gangsters were gone.

Muhammad Ali: I’m going to get those suckers!

Anthony had been shot in his right leg. Bruce Lee reached out to help Muhammad Ali get him to a doctor. Ever since that day, Muhammad Ali and Bruce Lee were the best of friends. They joined together to beat the gangsters.

In the movie, Game of Death, Bruce appeared to be stunned about the size of Kareem Abdul -Jabbar. The minuet Bruce moved to fight him, he was stepping out on faith. The minuet Bruce moved to fight him, he had courage.  Kareem put a big footprint on Bruce’s chest. It appeared that he was winning and beating up Bruce. But Bruce kept getting up and he continued the fight. All at the same time, Bruce was learning about the giant Kareem. He saw that Kareem was sensitive to light. That was Kareem’s weakness. There were also some disadvantages to Bruce being a small man. He was able to trip Kareem and make him fall although Kareem could have stomped Bruce to the floor. Kareem had some strikes against him because he did not seem to learn more about Bruce and what his weakness was.

I do not know martial arts, but I have learned one thing. Never let a person know you. If you allow a person to learn everything about you, that is bad for a fight in competition. It can also be bad in everyday life, in your home, and on your job. Another thing that I have learned is not to be afraid of what you see. Stick with the strength that was given to you. All it might take is wisdom to break down the biggest giant or something you think you may never accomplish.

Did the author of this film morph Bruce Lee’s image on top of an animation? Did he cut Bruce Lee out of a film to put it into his own? I don’t know how the Bruce Lee Ping Pong film was made, but the author has done a very creative and outstanding job. I am wondering could the author make full Bruce Lee movies. I would love to see it. It would be something new and exciting. It would be a new art for movies and movies to keep Bruce Lee legacy going.

Over and over again, I hear the same old stories about Bruce Lee. I get bored and wish he were still alive. I do not watch his movies a lot because I do not want to wear them out. He is not hear to make more movies, and I just miss him. People do not want to make new ideas in remembrance of Bruce. They worship the man so bad that you may be criticized for trying. So to me, that makes Bruce dead in memory and the legacy do not go anywhere to me. Even though Bruce is not alive to make more stories, characters, and movies, it could still be done. I have seen a few animations of Bruce. Some of them are never finished and they could be great animated films. I believe as fans, we could continue to create as he is made a legacy. That’s what makes Bruce Lee a living legend to me.

If you had to write a movie about the Drunken Master and Bruce Lee, how would it be? Here is a beginning idea….

Drunken Master was taught Kung Fu by his master. When his master died, he went on fighting and protecting people from gangsters. The Drunken Master was wanted dead or alive. He had an impact on many people, but there was another Kung Fu master that had better skills in Kung Fu than he did. His name was Master Cheung. He was once a monk in the Shaolin Temple and was thrown out because of his evil deeds. Master Cheung was hired by gangsters to kill Drunken Master. Master Cheung challenged Drunken Master to a fight and almost killed him. Somehow Drunken Master got away.

There was also another great Kung Fu master named Master Lee (Bruce Lee). He hid Drunken Master and took him to his home until he got well from injury. When Drunken Master was well, Master Lee had him to demonstrate some of his Kung Fu. Master Lee and Drunken Master practiced fighting each other. Master Lee thought that Drunken Master had some great skills. He thought that Drunken Master had a very unique style he had never seen before. However, Master Lee learned his style quickly and was able to beat Drunken Master. He taught Drunken Master something he knew about Kung Fu and how to be like the liquid inside his wine barrel.

Master Lee: Drunken Master, the wine controls you. Let nothing control you. You have to be like water. Be sober my friend and flow.

Bruce Lee told us a spiritual thing when he said to be like water. People think of Bruce Lee as a fighting man that is forceful and hard. But he could be calm and peaceful too. Most of the time we think about being forceful and hard and angry to our enemies. That is what our enemies expect. When you are calm and peaceful, they don’t understand when you just flow right on by.

Other movies could be made about Bruce based on what he might have done. He told us to be like water. We watch Jackie Chan play the drunken master. If Bruce Lee were alive making movies today, he probably would have watched the movie and would have made an answer back to it.
